Upon entering the gallery, I snapped an impromptu Polaroid photo of each participant, capturing them in an unprepared state. Participants were invited to watch the slow development of themselves on the photo, and eventually post their photos on floating plexiglass suspended inthe gallery's atrium. Each photo was them given up to public participation, and visitors were invited to caption a stranger's photo.

The piece explored the push and pull of the collective formation of identity--identity as an art of its own making.
